I've always like Favre but he seems to be getting himself into some bullshite schemes lately. If it's true then he deserves whatever comes his way. WTF is he getting access to public welfare funds? Can't defend that sort of shite

he had access to public welfare funds, or his donation was to go towards public welfare funds initially? There's a difference. Without knowing the specifics about the public welfare funds, generally, I'd rather see money go to a new volleyball stadium. The biggest problem in this country is because of welfare.

I’d rather not legitimize kleptocracy. Those monies were approved by Congress for specific use and were intentionally mishandled by Mississippi officials to serve personal interests. That’s embezzlement plain and simple.

The Favre family are all very well known to law enforcement, all have serious alcohol or drug issues, I think his sister was involved in a drive by shooting and his brother has a lengthy record, so it’s not all his fault. Brett Isnt that bright to pull off this shite, he is a checker in a big game of Chess

Sounds like he wrote an embarrassing, hagiographic puff piece of a book and, smelling blood in the water, senses his chance to memory-hole the book so he doesn’t have to be embarrassed by it anymore.

What that means?

The only problem I have with this is that the money didn't go to something more worthwhile like a parking lot
Which...

Would've certainly been more worthwhile than a USM volleyball facility

USM is a haven for talented wackjobs, idiot savants, etc.

It's like the platypus of universities.

This writer is being blackmailed to torch his own work. They can't have any more "Favres" out there looking good.

I can't believe people are dumb enough to defend that scumbag.

Yet, the author, Jeff Pearlman, who’s always had the media ethics that would be on the level of the morals of a drug dealer, had no problem cashing the checks from this book.

Right. If you're going to quote what I said, quote the entire line. Don't cheery pick it like the media to imply that I said something else. See the actual, entire quote below.

In other words, most welfare money is bullshite spending and, generally, the money would be better spent going to something that is actually good. I never said that this should have been done in this case. My comment was really in reference to typical welfare and not as much to this situation. Hence, why I put the without knowing the specifics, part. Having said that, I agree with your comment, but not because it was approved by congress. frick congress, they approve money for shite all the time that most would agree is mishandling right there from the start.
