I don't care that Brees spoke his initial opinion and I don't care that he changed his mind but, goddamn, I still can't believe he walked right into this.
If he absolutely has to open his mouth, he needs to do a hell of a lot better job of taking the temperature of the room first. Or at least say something to the effect of "Let me get back to you on that one"
In future, all further queries need to be routed through his agent and/or publicist.
