I won't be there, but they couldn't have asked for better weather. Should be a great time.

What is wrong with that? Looks like people dancing and having a good time.

Brother In Law lives across the street. I will be stumbling back and forth all weekend.

Hmm.. I went in '14..maybe my expectations were too high but it felt more like a carnival or county fair than a festival. I guess I had just been spoiled by international fest. Food is great though.

Yeah I went once and that was enough for me. Didn't find it that special. And it was really carnival-like. The wide range of food available is the best part.

Is this where they have the crawfish eating contest?

Somebody told me the winner last year ate 45 pounds in 45 minutes, and 2 years ago the winner ate 92 pounds.

Side note, the guy that ate 92 pounds died 2 weeks later.

Can anyone confirm this?

I would like to know as well. Someone on the OT has to have the lowdown.

lol I don't think so. A coworker(black guy) was telling me about that today. Said it was better back when they did have a black and white section.

FIFY

Trashiest of the trashy, surprisingly awful dark and the food just really isn't that good at all. You'll find more sausage link hotdogs than you will crawfish.
