EBOLA: IT KILLS 100% OF PEOPLE WHO DIE FROM IT.

Not sure why you're laughing.
ok lets try this again:

you decided to randomly say frick the cdc earlier in the thread, when they likely weren't even involved when this girl got infected

A top U.S. health official acknowledged Tuesday that an American nurse might not have been infected with Ebola if a special response team had been sent to Dallas immediately after a Liberian man there was diagnosed with the disease.

keep on maintaining your dumb position tho
eta bolded the parts you might find interesting since you are unable to admit fault in your responses.

why does that matter?
You think a patient nurse interaction has an equal chance of spreading a non airborne disease compared to passengers on a plane?

That are now spread across the entire country. In all 50 states probably.
Meh - probably only 2 or 3 are infected, now.

none of this happens with a travel ban.

So an article that uses the word might is your answer?
Posted on 10/15/14 at 11:36 am to LNCHBOX
oh for gods sake forget it.
you're insufferable.
you're insufferable.

Because that article doesn't prove the CDC was involved when she got infected. I'm sorry your brain can't handle that.
But frick the government at all time.

That rate is including the deaths in Africa.
To put it in perspective, I posted this a couple days ago:

I just found such an article from Oct 6 here:
LINK
Aside from the Liberian, 3/3 treated in the US have survived. There is a fourth mentioned in the article, Ashoka Mukpo, who is today said to be doing better. The nurse has received a blood transfusion from survivor Brantly, who's donated blood to several other survivors. This gives them some antibodies against the virus. Some have received experimental antiviral drugs. This is all on top of high level supportive care. It's not yet clear what is making the difference, but this is all encouraging and better than I was aware of. Factors in our favor are low patient count and early detection, isolation, and treatment.
This good record is probably extremely fragile per the sentence in bold.

because the CDC said 'maybe we could have helped make sure the healthcare workers realized they needed more than gowns and duct tape to protect themselves treating the FIRST EVER CASE OF EBOLA IN THE US'?!?
nah, they're busy doing important junk and whatnot.

Then why bring up her interaction with Duncan in response to my postt about it being highly unlikely she spread the disease while on a plane?

I can't even begin to describe the increased level of care you are going to get in the US.
Posted on 10/15/14 at 11:42 am to LNCHBOX
you're saying the only way she could transmit the disease to someone on the plane is only if she was their nurse?
Posted on 10/15/14 at 11:43 am to CAD703X
Well then I guess I'll blame the CDC for these allergies I'm dealing with right now as well. frick 'em.

No. I'm saying it is highly unlikely she infected anyone else, even I she was showing symptoms because passengers on planes don't normally exchange fluids with anyone else on board.

You do realize that just because something is highly unlikely doesn't mean it can't happen, right?
