Oh my, I seem to have struck a rather sensitive nerve.

If it makes you feel any better I work in north B'ham it stinks here to high heaven. But I've been working he so long I no longer can smell it. Only when I'm around people who do not come here regularly and I hear them mention the smell do I remember it's even there.

So the only measure for brainiest city is the % increase in college educated people? That seems like a terrible measure.

The fact that they ranked San Antonio as America's second brainiest city should tell you everything you need to know about this study.

Course it is true that a good part of the city smells. Those who live there are immune to it but those who only come to visit can smell it pretty strong and it's more than just Bourbon Street itself. Still, even with e stench, NO is a cool place to visit.

It isn't true. You're a fricking idiot. There is one street. One. Bourbon Street, literally the worst Street in the entire city. Idiots like you come to town, spend all of your time on Bourbon Street, go piss in an alley a block away then complain that the city smells like piss. And think its all like that.

And of course the idiots in here are misinterpreting the study. They are talking about the increase in those with degrees, or "brain gain".

The Brain Gain in NOLA is a VERY real thing. Huge influx of educated people, and with the Biomedical corridor finishing up and tech industry gaining some ground, its only going to continue. Its a very real thing.

My work here is done.

BTW... you can rant and rave all you want... your city still smells like piss.

Yep. The gays and hipsters have taken over alot of what people used to call ghetto in N.O. and it doesn't look to be slowing down.
I would rather live next door to a queer all day long istead of ghetto trash or a redneck.

I love N.O. success threads on the O-T. Brings the N.O. haters out of the weeds with the quickness to spread their same tired arse stuff.

You idiots are not reading the context of this...

New Orleans has had the greatest influx of people with college degrees during that time span.

Does NOLA have the smartest people in America? No.

Does NOLA have the largest number of smart people in America? No.

Is anyone claiming that or saying that? No.

It's pretty telling when someone can mention a part of your city having a strong smell of human waste and you immediately can name the street without them having to. BTW... lighten up, Nancy. I'm only joking. Course it is true that a good part of the city smells. Those who live there are immune to it but those who only come to visit can smell it pretty strong and it's more than just Bourbon Street itself. Still, even with e stench, NO is a cool place to visit.

It smells like urine because tourists in mom jeans piss on the street. Locals know where to find a bathroom

Take a look up over your head. Look way up there... You see that? You know what it is? It's the joke that's flying over your overly sensitive head.
