Pretty sad that by the time St George happens it’ll be too late.

Yeah, the good old days where you could know that you were safe in a neighborhood in BR are long gone I’m afraid. Those who think they’re insulated are only fooling themselves. That’s just the way it is now.
South of Florida used to be a pretty good rule with a few exceptions. It's not anymore though. It's a declining city that's hard to defend now.
I'm sure we both remember when large swaths north of Florida were fine.

This article sucks. So there are 20 casings on the ground but they found one that matched this dudes gun and he admitted to a single shot. Is there no inquisitiveness as to who shot the remaining 19 shots and why?

2010-2019, we used to go to Tiger Paw about 2x a week when we lived in that area. They had a damn good burger and wings.
Does the same owner still own it?

Just about every single neighborhood in BR is within a mile or so from the hood now. Sherwood Acres or whatever right there is ghetto af
Someone was shot and killed at that complex not long ago. It seems like a drug haven.

Jesus. The condo neighborhood just past that (Windsor Village) is full of retirees, including my mom. This shite makes me so mad.

It's about a mile from me as the crow flies. I was sitting outside maybe 5 years ago and heard a pretty major gun battle that ended up being at Sherwood Acres on Coursey. 20-30 shots.

When Save-more opened in the old Jack-in-the-Box spot I felt sad.

That’s really depressing. Regretting buying a house off of antioch.

All they care about doing is making sure they don’t report skin color of the perp if he is not white so nothing else makes sense because their objective of protecting the race of the criminal has been fulfilled

Baton Rouge culture has taken over 70816.
70817's days are numbered.
Ascension should probably consider building a wall at Manchac.

I might could have heard those shots if I was outside at the time. I was asleep many hours before this though. Sad, those apartments behind there used to be super nice.
I live walking distance from the Tiger Paw and would go there on occassion for a brew with friends.

The most amazing part is that the dude is black.
Every time we've ordered lunch here, it's been nothing but methheads and old white drunks.

I’ve been there a few times, but this was many years ago, and I don’t remember it being infested with hoodrats.

Brotha, I dated girls off of Hollywood Street, around Belaire, and North Sherwood when I was in HS, back when it was a quite livable city. I’ve watched it erode and erode and erode, replaced by an ever expanding ghetto, which is why there just isn’t a very good path I can see for this city’s long term future. I wish there was. I take no pleasure in admitting that.
