As for NFP - we accept what is given to us, and try to leave God in control - I have a friend with 11
I'm 45 and a guy (1 grade behind me) I went to grade school & HS with has 11.

How old is the husband with 11? Initials wouldn't be CL? Wondering if they're the same.

The one I know is about 50, and his initials are not CL. There are several families in our homeschool group with 10+ kids.

No, but comes from a really good family and obviously hard core Catholic.

This is from the FB page that was started for parents to come together. Guess they going to protest tomorrow.
Hey everyone. It is good that everyone is signing the petition asking the diocese to end masking and segregating students into groups. However, we need to show up in person to let them know that this really is important to us.
Please join me tomorrow at noon and all 10,000 and counting of our friends at the Diocese of Baton Rouge office at the Catholic Life Center on the the corner of Hundred Oaks and Acadian.
Again details, for the meeting time.
Tomorrow, Friday 7/16
Noon
At the Catholic Life Center parking lot.

I understand your frustration, but please realize this is a policy mandated to us by the Diocese of Baton Rouge and the Catholic Schools Office, not Mercy School. We are working to finalize plans for what school will look like next year in hopes these guidelines will be changed on the diocesan level. As soon as things are finalized we will communicate the plan to everyone.
I cannot help but think that the Diocese of BR is some strange outlier in the South on this issue. The Catholic schools here in the Coast in the Diocese of Biloxi won’t be subject to such nonsense, thank God. Masks will not be mandated for vaccinated or unvaccinated students, but students who choose to mask may do so.
That is as it should be. Let each person choose what works for him or her. Worried about Covid? Fine, get the vaccine for yourself. Not worried? Fine, assume the risk of possibly catching it and falling ill. Don’t feel safe without a mask? Fine, wear one—just don’t try to control everyone else.

The leftist tries to use the government as a weapon to get you to change to what they want. That is what they consider being "inclusive"

But it couldn't be that hard to just offer virtual classes?
quote:
People aint' paying Catholic school tuition for that ever again.
Why do you think Catholic Schools were some of the first to go back to on campus learning? People were like "frick this. If I have to teach all this bullshite to my kids myself, why not just do free public schools virtual learning..."

Doesn't sound completely canned and knowing him, he's probably frustrated.
That is different than what I got. I figured he was frustrated.
