I get the canned response and that pisses me off, but the whole “insert principals name here” would send me into a fit of rage. I am so inconsequential to you that you won’t even sign a letter someone else wrote for you?

Strong likelihood, but I see him on campus too and will talk with him in person if given the opportunity.

Wise older Catholics I know have observed:
Between removing worship of God from public schools, and Catholic dioceses in the 60s moving away from scholarships to Catholic schools and toward government funded secular outreach, what has become of Catholic education and community support for nuclear families in general?
How many issues for which the Catholic Church gets taxpayer funds (serving the addicted, imprisoned, low-income, single-parent families) would have been prevented, had those people been formed in Catholic schools? Yet diocese after diocese across the world has closed inner city schools due to “lack of funds”, while the communities around them fall apart and the students have no where to go, but public schools where morality consists of “consensual pleasure.”
Thanks abortion advocates - you clearly demonstrated that legalizing abortion resulted in your promises that every child would be wanted, and none would live in poverty. As long as we are all “tolerant” and “non-judgmental”, the children will all turn out just fine! Just ignore the skyrocketing depression, addiction and suicide rates for teens. Progressives know best!

All these people be like 'Catholics are so liberal.' That's news to me.

Or maybe they wanted to have 8 kids. You have a problem with that?
I sure don't, the world need people like him to have more kids

They used to be and somewhat still are compared to other Christians
Its part of the reason LA has been the bluest state in the South

Sorry, didn't read all 23 pages. But it couldn't be that hard to just offer virtual classes? Does it have to at least be offered, huh?

And? So do we, and we have 6.

So you want parents of elementary school kids to pay full tuition to a private school, plus pay a 'babysitter' to sit at home with the kids all day while they do their 'virtual class' that offers them next to zero education or development? You didn't really think that one through did you?

So the Diocese of Baton Rouge is forcing parents to suppress their religious objections to vaccines developed using aborted babies? How absolutely insane is that? And supposedly in the name of child protection?
Now you are starting to understand. The Catholic church is infiltrated by the devil at every level.
Everyone that said their "local level" admins would never follow what the pope is pushing. Well, here it is. Small? Yes, but its started at the local level.
ETA: since when was the Catholic church about protecting children? They have been covering up child abuse and sex abuse for how long now?

I have no problem with it. I just remember finding it humorous that every family I have ever heard of that practices natural family planning has like 5+ kids

I said this yesterday.

Again, good for y’all. And I’m not saying that in a sarcastic dick-head way.

OLOM Principal's response-
quote:
I understand your frustration, but please realize this is a policy mandated to us by the Diocese of Baton Rouge and the Catholic Schools Office, not Mercy School. We are working to finalize plans for what school will look like next year in hopes these guidelines will be changed on the diocesan level. As soon as things are finalized we will communicate the plan to everyone.
Doesn't sound completely canned and knowing him, he's probably frustrated.

Okay - I wasn’t sure how you expressed it. I had a woman yell at me once for ‘killing the earth’ with all my kids - usually we are accosted with negative criticism
As for NFP - we accept what is given to us, and try to leave God in control - I have a friend with 11, another just had her 15th

Oh I was absolutely poking fun at NFP as a birth control/contraception method like it was portrayed/presented to me at the pre Cana overnight retreat we went too. What I was not doing was poking fun at people who practice it and want large families.
As for your friends that have 11 and 15, holy hell!
