I'm all for full grown adults doing their own thing, but a young boy is not capable of making such a life altering decision as having a sex change.

Let's face, the Boy Scouts have to be inclusive. Membership has been suffering severely before they went inclusive. Maybe if all you people that were against stuff like this actually put your kids in scouts, they wouldn't allow stuff like this. However, they started doing better after going more inclusive, so they are doubling down on it.

Not always the case anymore. You have to go to the genetic level now to distinguish between male and female in some instances. You can remove a guy's penis and give him genitalia that resembles a vagina, but you can't remove his Y chromosome and give him another X.
For the record I'm gay, and I don't agree with "gender reassignment" surgery. Gender identity issues are generally indicative of deeper psychological issues, and there are many instances when the reassignment surgery doesn't alleviate or help that person's issue.

The whole gender vs sex thing kind of makes my head hurt. But I don't think letting a couple of girls participate with the boy scouts is that big of a deal.

the big issue i see here is who will be held responsible WHEN something happens that is called rape by the other boys in the troop? What happens if they go camping and the "boy" wants their own bathroom?
There is a separation of boys and girls for reasons and as much as people want to deny it, we aren't equal. Women have strengths that men could never have and men have strengths that women can have, that is biology and life. A group of guys together is a brotherhood and how we bond, throwing a girl in the mix fricks up that dynamic. If my son was in boy scouts and some tranny girl wanted to join, I would invite the troop to be a part of my own group that I will take camping and lead them with. It is ridiculous that everyone wants to be included in things that they just aren't.

As an Eagle Scout, I don't care. Homo or Trans isn't a value, if the kid wants to be part of scouting spirit and tradition well more power to them. It's a shame they didn't fit into GSA or Explorers.
My troop was kind of the misfit cesspool though, all the ADHD kids were dropped on us so we got eagle and said laters.
