Box Tops getting harder to open

I always took for granted the ease of opening a box top of a 12 pack, cereal box, cheese-it box, any kind of consumer product in a box, where one good tug on the tab would pop it right open cleanly, maybe with a soft finger slide under the hood to get the ends popped.
For the last few months I have started to notice that all these box tops are now a pain in the arse, and I end up destroying any box top I try to open. I think the illuminati changes the glue formula, I have no other explanation.
Am I the only one?

Fair, but doesn't explain that I am plenty strong enough to rip the cardboard all to shite, it's the glue that isn't "popping" off anymore. It's like they are using super glue now.

Did this last night. It’s like they switched from Dollar Store school glue to a hot glue gun that solidified into the cardboard.

My kids shred every new box they open. I almost banned them from opening new boxes, but I’m not much better.
The cardboard is only in slightly better condition after I wrestle with it to get it open.

The big Goldfish cartons have torn the last three or four times I’ve tried to open them. I think you’re on to something
