Really? It never did the job for us. Desitin would get rid of it after one treatment.

My maw maw was a nurse at Saint Francis for about 30 years give or take a year. When you had a rash in the Mecca back in those days, you used Dr. Talbot's Buttpaste.

Mike Napoli (also a mecca legenda) mixed up a bunch of talbot's paste for me when i had my son in 1997.

good stuff.

It's a barrier cream. Damaged skin does not heal well when exposed to constant moisture... in diapers or swim trunks or biking tights. The butt paste protect damaged skin from moisture so that the skin can heal.

When babies get diaper rash, the butt paste may not work because frequently yeast can start growing on the damaged skin. Since the butt paste does not have antifungal properties, the butt paste alone will not get rid of that type of rash, you will also need an antifungal cream.

True. Once you get the rash set in, it's time to take it to another level. All thievery aside, it's awesome for stopping the itch when you are training.

60% white pet, 15% Zinc Oxide, 7% Balsam Peru, 7% castor oil, the rest is paraffin wax, mineral oil, citric acid

Would be a pretty good UV block for your nose if you were a surfer dude. Good moisture block for diaper rash, chaffing, etc. OK burn ointment for 1st and 2nd degree burns, OK for bug bites, Would work on bed sores in nursing home, Probably works OK on poison Ivy, Not a bad moisturizer. Not-so-good lubricant.

Agree, Boudreaux's would not be on my list of things to use for having any form of sects.

I've used it for chaffing. I use talc powder to prevent it more now.

We use buckets of it for our daughter's diapers.
