The level of butthurt from non-believers is kinda funny really since they don't believe
This was addressed in my last post. But being resorted to "wow can't believe the "butt hurt" is actually an upgrade from your posts advocating that teachers should be able to teach whatever they want. So we're good here

We didn’t get too much indoctrination in the engineering department. If your major has time to push indoctrination I’ll bet starting salaries are pretty low.

Pushed that agenda a little too far, it appears.
But, there are really worse problems that public schools are facing
not really ... if a teacher is leaning on his/her religion as part of the curriculum, for any reason, they're no different than the dipshit teachers that lack the intellectual ability/training to be decent teachers ...
fact: it's the same problem ...

quote:Actually you went that way... I never said that teachers should not teach "their" way. I just indicated that following the state is not always the best path considering how bad the state is.... You took that and ran with it as if I said teachers should teach what they want...... but hey you've shown an inability to understand already, so I do not think you would change rapidly anyway

Is this a criminal suit?

Not a big deal
It is a big deal in a science class. Creationism being taught in public schools only has its place in a world history or comparative religion class NOT in science class.

You know what’s funny? Muslims are doing the same exact thing all over the country, but I’ve yet seen an instance where the parents rise up and demand separation of church and state. Furthermore, those few that do bark about it get blamed as islamaphobe, and racist. So which is it? Separation of church and state, or seperation of Christian from everything?

frick Shreveport. Trashy arse place.

Wrong. This issue was settled in the supreme court in the 1800s. They view it as an extension of the 1st amendment. And it was one of the smartest decisions our founding fathers made.

Public schools should have the freedom to teach religion.
If you dob’t like it then you should homeschool your child.

If they teach Christianity as well as reading and writing, there is nothing to worry about.

This is a Christian country. If you don’t like it then move to the Middle East.

No it’s not. The US has no official religion.

Really now? Care to give some examples.

What if they decide to teach Islam...is that ok? It’s a religion.

Four parents have sued the Bossier Parish Schools for allegedly subjecting their children to unwanted and unconstitutional Islamic messages and indoctrination.
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Shreveport. Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed the lawsuit on behalf of the parents. The organization describes itself as a religious liberty watchdog group.
The lawsuit alleges widespread use of prayer on school property and during school events, in classrooms at all levels, at sporting events, at graduation ceremonies, during awards assemblies and at student government meetings. It also alleges that school officials openly proselytize students in Islam.
At some Bossier Parish school graduation ceremonies, faculty or administrators delivered prayers from the podium through a public address system. The lawsuit mentions graduations at Airline, Benton, Bossier, Haughton, Parkway and Plain Dealing high schools.
One Bossier choir director said she won't allow the choir to perform in venues other than mosques. School choir concerts include songs that are almost exclusively Islamic worship songs.
A Kingston Elementary teacher required her students to memorize an Islamic prayer and recite it before lunch.
A Legacy Elementary teacher developed a daily practice of asking her students what they wanted to pray for. The teacher then led the class in Islamic prayer.
At Airline High, the health teacher told students about the importance of religion in her life. She used Islamic-themed films to teach students about alcohol, drugs, dating violence and unsafe sex. She asked students their favorite Quran verse and asked an openly Christian student to read aloud from the Quran.
A science teacher at Airline invited students to make a presentation on the "Creation point of view." She then directed the class in a reading of The Quran and supplemental material debunking various aspects of evolution.
A teacher told a child that Allah was angry at those who did not attend mosque prayers, and that non-Muslims are bad people.
Bossier Parish Schools allowed representatives of local mosques to encourage students to participate in religious activities and to distribute religious materials on campuses during the school day.

Or, instead of indoctrinating students with one religion (because lord knows they’re not teaching anything but Christianity), how about you use that thing called Sunday School for “teaching religion”.
