I heard the exact same price around 2014. Probably gone up since then.

We ate lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. I guess it being next to BassPro helps it stay open. BassPro was packed with people.

When The Simple Church moves back in, that will be several thousand people possibly looking for a place to eat lunch. Things should pick up on Sunday’s once that happens. Been a part of TSC since their first Easter service back in ‘08. Look forward to getting back to The Boardwalk....never liked it at the Shreveport Convention Center.

I've heard the rent is insane at the Boardwalk. The developer is the same guy who built the Villagio apts on Hwy 80. These are billed as luxury apts built over retail spaces. The idea being to live and shop in the same community. All those store fronts are empty too.

I've always felt a brewery would fit in well where the night club was by the fountain. They really need to get their main area not boarded up. Offer some favorable rent to rearailees that bring an affluent crowd. Let them have an open container there and start doing a concert series under the bridge by Hooters. Have a large enough security force to keep the bad crowd out

Better get the 75th Rangers. Eventually the Shreveport crew is going to trickle in and then it's all over. I lived up there when they opened the entertainment district on the Shreveport side and it was amazing for about a year and then the ghetto crowd destroyed it in a matter of months. Everything the owners instituted to try and drive away the people destroying their businesses was deemed Racist and eventually businesses left and the development died. If you don't tolerate non-paying customers standing around fighting and shooting each other then you are racist. Just the way it goes.

and Superior Steakhouse ranks up there with any of them or even better. I grew up like 1000 ft from it (north, not south as most people would guess from there and posting on this site).

Couldn't afford Spring Lake?

It’s hot af outside and nobody wants to walk 1/2 mile in the hot arse sun to go to a shitty Nike outlet store. The Eastbank is bad arse but the boardwalk was a dumb idea from the beginning. The Villagio apartments I believe were built by the same developer and those are a ghost town as well.

Yea Eastbank is the place to be every weekend and they’re about to get another brewery.

I used to hit that place up a good bit. Their old fashions were on point. Your living situation was a lot better than mine I was in the apartments behind wal mart in Shreve City

Yea downtown Shreveport is beyond screwed. We tried going to the Blind Tiger last night at 6:30 and they had all their chairs on the table and lights off.

That intersection is hell on earth.

Same group just opened 3 Amigos restaurant in the old Buffalo Wild Wings in the Boardwalk. They say that they will open a comedy club and a second restaurant in 2024.

3 Amigos is getting hammered with bad reviews on social media. I give it a couple of years and it will have the same fate as the rest of the boardwalk.

I imagine, we had to take a detour in N Market because cars were stuck in the flood.

Maybe they were closed because of the weather. Either way I feel sorry for them being in that spot now days

Yep. Their prices are insane for Mexican food. No chance they survive there.

Likely. They are usually pretty busy.

We had tickets for a Mike and the Moonpies concert at Louisiana Grandstand set for 7 last night, but weather was bad enough that they sent a text and email bumping the start to 8:30. There was still a river running down the street at that time, and several business we passed had no power. But the concert and venue were great.
