Opinion and incorrect based on what I am seeing.

My wife just took my grand daughters to the maul. They just got back and presented me with a $100 bill each.

That is nothing though. Me and almost every Boomer I know is looking for ways to move money and property into our kids hands to avoid paying inheritance taxes.

The key was raising kids we can trust, generation be damned.

Is it hate or facts? Are Democrats hated on this board when threads are posted?

Not sure how we would stop it. I do think it’s a bit uncouth to cash a check, made up of money taken from current working people, while insulting them and implying they don’t work hard or well enough.

So you think the boomers shouldn't insult the delicate snowflakes but they should gladly accept being blamed for the entirety of their problems.

Yeah, I don't blame them for heckling the little snots.

You’ve seen wealthy people turn down or not apply to draw social security benefits (aka take money from future generations)? I won’t do it, I don’t think anyone will. We all have that feeling of “they took our money, they better pay me”. But the truth is the music will stop sometime and someone won’t have a chair.

What inheritance taxes? I’ve been executor of two, fairly typical, estates for boomers. There are no “inheritance taxes” for people with less than 13 million or so. Most older adults seem to be focused on protecting their assets/hiding them so that when the time comes they can have the govt help fund their end of life/nursing facility care, even if they are wealthy.

Yeah. What they should be doing is looking at ways to minimize RMD for themselves and their inheritors. That’s the real challenge.

Just the opposite. We are planning on dying with nothing. Kids will have it no matter how much or how little.

We have recently been through it on my wife's side and my own.

One example, Mom's savings had to be rolled over into mine. Now I have to take out a minimum amount every year so that I can pay taxes on it.

Inheritance tax was a bad choice of words.

We are moving funds to them so they won't have to pay taxes.

Not something I can discuss because my wife and my lawyer handle this. I just sign on the line occasionally.

O.K., you are getting just plain silly now.

A silly ignorant stupid fricking retard is getting too long to keep up. I think I'll go to my vol. job down at the local Walmart as a greeter.

Well, democrats convinced them that "every kid should be able to go to college" -- even their precious little dipshit with a 19 on the ACT. And big daddy government would be happy to lend the money.

27.98 if married.

And the exemption passes to the surviving spouse.

But that will change if Dems get back in the WH, or so I was told.
