If I'm reading this correctly, they mean 36 other civilizations that are still communicating.

Many more have existed and died off, or are simply beyond using the types of communications that we would be able to detect.

don’t understand any of that

its likely there are other planets with lifeforms much as you see on earth. humanoids. maybe ducks.

but the nearest one is so far from earth that communication is presently impossible for we humans.

many light years.

and since you ask, because there is only one consciousness its possible sooner than not knowing today suggests.

when i read that some candidates are unstable for the purpose of lasting the billions of years i had not allowed myself to imagine the last days.

how many are boarding ships hoping their bodies will be revived on new world?

That’s a lot of words to say they’re guessing. That’s all anyone can do at this point.

Until the powerful new telescopes from the near future begin to show us planets that are inhabited with at least primitive life forms, we will be limited to a data set of one, earth. Finding other geneses of lfe will then allow us to speculate upon the evolution of intelligent populations on other worlds.

That's not scary. What's scary is that there are an estimated 100 Billion Galaxies.

Hubble caused astronomers to update the approximate number of galaxies in the observable Universe to two trillion. Its deep field photographs showed far more galaxies than previously thought.

Now that’s just the observable Universe. Alan Guth’s Inflation Theory indicates there are 10^23 times as many galaxies in the entire Universe. It’s really big out there.

the discussion thus far did not allow for living in other vibrations.

in the blue realm there are some which meet the requirement.
