I'm just glad they didn't try to put those two astronauts back on the thing.

Listening to the pre-packaged comms back and forth between them and the two astronauts when they closed the doors and you'd think they just landed on the moon... Lots of back patting. Pretty fricking comical.

That was hilarious. Everyone was telling each other how great they are.

Landing safely like NASA and Boeing were telling us all along.
if by Landing Safely they mean cratering what is left that didn't burn up, then they would be correct.

The amount of butt puckering occurring at Boeing right now is massive.

Well at least they didn't crash into the ISS... so thats a win

Maybe it will make it to earth and crash into the bank tower in lake Charles. Two birds and one stone.

Hope they remember to close the hatch.

It 100% looks like they had to leave the outer hatch open

Guess thats better than one of the door plugs blowing out on a commercial jet mid flight

Is the most dangerous part, considering the leaks and thrusters, over?
Posted on 9/6/24 at 8:12 pm to LSUFanHouston
I'm pretty sure what I just heard rattling the windows and pictures was a Redstone Arsenal test and not the Boeing deal blowing up.
I think they're trolling with this test, timing wise. It was the loudest and longest I've heard.

How close to Redstone are you? Dunno why but i thought you were closer to decatur or Athens

I think the most dangerous part is the entry burn that happens around 10ish. Thats when the thrusters that were overheating and malfunctioning will be lit.
The original plan would have them burning for 7 minutes, but they have adjusted the mission profile so they should only have to burn for 1 minute. (maybe thats why it is taking so long?)

Yes.

It's only landing "safely" because there's no one on board. It's only "landing" because NASA has no where else for it to go and it can't stay there.
If it makes it within New Mexico in anything resembling one piece will be a minor miracle.
