This is what happens when you run a successful franchise into ground.
Hopefully Kathleen follows.

sounds like he just wants to take on less of a role and begin transitioning to retirement

With all due respect that's absolute bullshite.
Several of their parks are currently closed with Corona Virus and their exposure to this going forward is awful. They are mid roll out for Disney Plus with it launching in Europe and India next month. Iger still had nearly 2 years on his contract.

Every Star Wars movie Disney has out has had declining revenue.
How long can you afford a losing trend like that?

SJW insertion agenda killed him.

But what does any of that have to do with Iger? He has no control over a global health crisis or its timing. Disney has done extremely well recently, there is absolutely nothing on the business side of things that suggests Iger needed to bow out for reasons other than his own. Unless something happened behind the scenes or in his personal life...
Disney had the top 6 grossing movies of 2019 (Aladdin came in at #8) Disney made shite loads of money last year. Park attendance was also through the roof until the Coronavirus.
