Now full disclosure here, I'm no St George DPW rep so I'm not really privvy to the big brains who make these decisions... But if Jefferson Highway is being completely stripped down to the dirt (and consequently, being totally fricked for the next 3 years), would this be the best time to close a lane of Bluebonnet for some new asphalt? Could that really not wait until now? Was it so dire that right now was the time to do that?

Needless to say, this is a traffic nightmare this morning. If you have anything to do around here, make alternate plans. It's a parking lot. And I assume if will be like this for some time.

I thought this was going to be a thread about another pedestrian getting hit.

One less lane for someone to be violently murdered in.

Was thinking the same thing, my office is on bluebonnet heading towards Jefferson. Did we really need to be laying down asphalt at 8:30am on a work day??

if someone could pressure wash the wall of the I-10 exit at the mall, that would be great.

I just thought that St George would make smarter decisions. This is obviously Baton Rouge-esque shite.

Maybe we could tear up Bluebonnet/Airline too while we're at it. Because why not?

Maybe this is a good time to do some major work on Siegen/Airline and Essen/Jefferson too. If we're gonna literally frick everything up, may as well do it all at the same time.

They need to start with the Capitol building first.

It’s one of the things we’re actually good at.

The potholes on Bluebonnet were pretty bad. I’m glad they are fixing it.

Get the drone people that were “cleaning” the interstate walls with drones earlier this year.

Didn't they just start work on the capital?

Building likely too tall for that. There is a max payload limit of 55lbs on those drones. Factoring in hose and water weight, you can get up to about 200ft max.

They did. Thing was rusting behind the stone from water intrusion.

For what its worth, it does seem that have been doing Jefferson Hwy and Bluebonnet at a steady pace instead of taking several years. I'm not sure what the correct answer is as it needs to get done.

Wait what? Jefferson Highway should be done this year (it was supposed to be finished by the end of last year). They are already on the lanes coming back from Airline to Drusilla. Once that's done it's only black top, but that goes fast.

I believe it's more of an FAA regulation than a physical limitation.
