Not sure you have any idea what your talking about. I've been in blizzards in the Sierra (looking out a window in awe) and its no joke. Now as far as the driving you have that correct.

I've been in real blizzards too that actually do blind you. Going by this video I didn't see anything crazy that would blind me. Is there a better video that I'm not seeing?

There probably is somewhere. FWIW the local news here in Sillycon Valley is saying snow was fallingl at 3-4 inches an hour with 100mph wind gusts at the higher elevations.
