They’re a division of Fiat Chrysler, not dodge.

Anyone else find the need to have "Limited" emblazoned on the hood and tailgate to be tacky?

It means there is a limited production run.

Ford serializes these trucks and the production number is put on a plaque in the interior. Not too many companies do that anymore. (more a gimmick than anything IMO)

Dude, if you finance for 12 years you can get your notes down to $800/month.

Look close at the tailgate logo, see those five letters above the ram?

Those are 2009-2010 Rams. After 2010, the rear badge has no lettering on it. Only place my 2011 said “Dodge” was on a little tray above the radio. My 2015 doesn’t say Dodge anywhere on it, at least not in a brand badging sense.

When I bought my 2015, the insurance company had to correct me a couple of times b/c I kept calling it a Dodge Ram. "It's just Ram, sir."

It's been a good truck.

Dodge doesn’t make trucks anymore.

Ford is clearly copying Ram.

Is this similar to how Hyundai spun off Genesis into its own brand?

They aren't fooling anyone, Rams are still Dodges.

You were probably really excited and they were trying to bring you back down to earth.

The perfect configuration for hooking up a trailer while the truck is running.

doubt anyone driving that is hooking a trailer to it. Looks like something an older affluent gentleman would drive to work or the CCA banquet.

See what you're saying, but hooking a trailer up takes what? 30s? and with these auto-start/stop deals they all have now the truck probably isn't running while you're in park anyway.

Plus I think Ram has sold enough dual exhaust trucks now to prove it’s a non issue - to the point Ford is following suit.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the douche driving that truck might have a jet ski behind it so it's no big deal.
