re: Blackstone Grill - Do you have one? Thoughts

It’s ok but mine was a pain to clean and keep rust free. It dawned on me after about a year that I had it sitting on a SS table. The black stone became a sacrificial anode. If you buy one don’t put it on a SS surface. I bought an expensive SS griddle and solved that issue. It literally dissolved the base and the top would never passivate. Rusty eggs suck.

Had the 17" for 3yrs, use when camping in RV and on back porch a lot for breakfast, smashburgers etc.
Love it, no probs with rust, musta seasoned it right, easy to clean, have cover and carrying case. Leave in pass thru on camper most of time. Best $79 I've spent in years...

Where can you get the fitting and hose to go to a regular propane tank instead of the small bottles And do you need a regulator in between the two?
Just bought this from Wal Mart last week. I think it was $17.

Again, most people I have spoken to says it gets really hot. Mine just didn't when I used it. Probably used it 5 times within a month period, then it went away for a bit and now it's too hot.
I'll bust it out on a football saturday morning and see what's what

Had it for about a year. It’s the culinary edition that has the dual side burners. I thought I might’ve installed it wrong at first but turns out it has a slight forward angle.

I have the pro series with the lid. I use it to cook a lot of different things weekly. There are a lot of recipes out there, it’s a great buy. I love mine. Pay attention to the seasoning and cleaning.

I have the Pit Boas ceramic version, love the thing. No sticking, no rust, just wipe with a paper towel and you’re done. Cooks the same as the regular steel version, I just hated the upkeep. Highly recommend this one.

Best piece of cooking equipment I own.
Cleaning is a breeze. I can cook almost anything on it (made entire chicken and waffle sliders solely on the grill and some cast iron).
It's my most used cooking thing now, if you are creative.
And big breakfasts
..nothing comes close.

Get the hinged lid. I like mine it’s handy as shite to cook a good volume of food on.
Just made chicken fajitas on it Sunday. Same set-up 36 inches. If I had to do it over again I might buy a smaller one. I cook mostly just for me and don’t need that much space. When the kids are here I can whip out breakfast quick on it - French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage it all comes out about the same time.

I was gifted one and returned it. I get why people love theirs, but I would rather just use cast iron or a grill

Have a smaller one. I don't know what size, and I don't even know where it came from, but I cooked steaks on them earlier tonight. Came out good. I haven't quite perfected cooking steaks on it just yet. If/when I do my outdoor kitchen, a larger one will likely be planned for.
