One of the protesters said they saw a white girl being pinned to a wall and insulted to the point of tears. The bully yelled "frick your tears". Even the protester observing this was revolted. Try to read the article before saying its bullshite.

Exactly. The video shows a peaceful protest but based on anonymous claims of events that no one managed to capture on video people here assume the worst. I wouldn't doubt that there were a few knuckleheads in the multiracial crowd but people here want to characterize it as a racist riot. Luckily there's video showing otherwise. Even the subject title confirms that the protest was peaceful.

What exactly is "peaceful" about storming around a silent library howling your #BLM mumbojumbo. They scream to intimidate people. By your logic this was just as peaceful as sitting in a circle and praying about it.

Is there a difference between "peaceful" protests and "non-violent" protests? I think when people say "peaceful", they are implying that it's non-violent, and not "reverent" or whatever you think "peaceful protest" means. Intimidation isn't necessarily violent. After all, they are just words.

We are talking semantics here. What people mean when they say "peaceful protests" doesn't always jive with the definition of the word "peaceful." Like I said, "peaceful protests" usually means non-violent. Shouting words at people is not violent. And if you think it is, you are a giant pussy.
ETA, I take it back. The word peaceful has two definitions, and there's nothing wrong with calling these protests "peaceful."

If you go in someones face yelling frick you and flipping them off you are likely to illicit a violent response. They weren't physically assaulting them, but they were attempting to provoke a response. It was non-violent but not what I would call peaceful. Just semantics though.

Okay....so let's assume it stayed "non-violent." Still.....what's the point of protesting in an academic library exactly?
"We were heard here today" ..... by who exactly? The pre-med student who is trying to get an A in organic chem? Way to go.....

. You sound like a Mizzouri protester. Words are so hurtful to you that you just HAVE to respond violently when someone says something you don't like. I gave the definition of the word peaceful. You can act ignorant and deny what it is if you want to, but nobody should take you seriously.

Learn to read, I said it wans non-violent. They met the second definition of peaceful but not the first, so as I said, its a matter of semantics. If some stranger got in your face and said frick you and flipped you off you would just take it? And you called me a pussy
