If you don’t earn it you don’t appreciate it. He never learned the lessons of hard work, duty and responsibility that usually come with earning that much money so of course he squanders it. Sad.

I doubt it was squandered. The article said they made the connection because the house was owned by the trust that all the money was put into. Being that the money was put into a trust I doubt the family had/has free range on how it is spent. It's probably structured some way or another to prevent them from being able to squander it. Now, the kid's future..he squandered that.
