This story is worthy of an epic poem, The Saga of Rico, by the OT’s resident poet laureate - something on the level of The Odyssey. So much to work with, not just from the purview of the search itself, but exploring the real (and imagined) experiences of Rico - wandering the hostile territory from the body dumpsites of criminal N.O.East...the alligator, cottonmouth, and canebrake rattlesnake infested swamplands... the wasted ruins of Jazzland. So much material to work with.
Where you at, fr33?

I have a better idea. We create a New Droppies.
Keep some old ones, and make some new ones to reflect the modern OT.
The Baw Revere can be an award given to posters who put out the call to the OT and rally the troops for a worthy cause when they could much more easily go about their day.

great story, but loaded with rattlesnakes? really?
That area is, in fact, the hot spot for canebrake rattlesnakes. My dad was a policeman in the 7th district when I was growing up and used to catch them all the time in NOLA East.
Canebrakes in N.O.East - youtube
I’ve herped with Zach and the area around the Michoud exit is one of his hottest spots for canebrakes. His channel, Life’s Wild Adventures, has several other canebrake videos from N.O. East. In the spring I’m hitting that area to try to catch some. And N.O. East has some of the biggest cottonmouths I’ve ever seen - and plenty of them.
