So the “Loot” is missing/spent from the “Burn” and “Murder” part of name.

There’s seriously a statue of a hair pick?

It's a travelling exhibit.

It started out as an 8 foot tall statue, but has been replaced with a larger, louder 25 foot version.

Here is the original in Philadelphia.

quote:

The origin of the Afro pick dates back to the time of ancient Egyptians as an article of status and cultural belonging. The clenched black fist comb in particular is associated with the 1970s Black Power Movement. As an accessory of a hairstyle, it represented counterculture and civil rights during one of the most important eras of American history. It exists today as many things to different people; it is worn as adornment, a political emblem, and signature of collective identity. The Afro pick continues to develop itself as a testament to innovation. This piece serves to highlight ideas related to community, strength, perseverance, comradeship, and resistance to oppression.

quote:

All Power to All People is a monumental and provocative artwork combining the Afro pick and the Black Power salute, both icons of Black identity and empowerment. When Hank conceived of a monumental Afro pick with a raised fist, he wanted to make an object that spoke specifically to African Americans, illustrative of the artist's longstanding investigation into the role public art plays in shaping collective discourse and societal values.
This 24-by-10-foot tall Afro pick is topped by a hidden platform providing a stage for those performing with the piece. Hank notes, “I was thinking of Claes Oldenburg by blowing up an item that was helpful to me when I was a kid with an Afro, and turning it into something monumental.”
The sculpture has been part of the Monumental Tour, a touring exhibition empowering social change through the arts, via Kindred Arts since 2018. It has been installed in Black Rock City, NV, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, Oakland, Chicago, and Toronto.

That is such a racist photo. If white people were to share that pick, they would be canceled.

What exactly are they doing with their millions? Has anyone ever seen a BLM community center or baseball field or senior housing care facility? Has any "charity" provided so little back to the people?

I had this same conversation with my kids several years ago. There is NO BLM scholarship fund, no BLM-centered activities that are net positives for black youths, no BLM community center, etc.

It is simply a grift organization that funnels money back to the Democrat party, while the admitted Communist leaders of BLM buy huge houses in gated neighborhoods with rich, white Progressives.

Fear not. There will be riots as soon as someone is denied a loan at a tote the note places with a BMW with 250K on the odo.
