I'm impressed with the amount of patience the people exhibit. I would have been tempted to do anything to get him to shut the frick up in that situation and would have probably gotten myself in a bind.

Oh I understand the logistical reasons behind a subway not being feasible. I just think saying "thank god we don't have a subway" is a dumb statement. Especially for a place that has equal to or worse traffic problems than a lot of cities much larger than it.

Despite this, I'll get on the subway in the big cities anytime. Relatively safe, efficient and cheap even in NYC.
