If you are supervisor, what do you do to celebrate and/or recognize birthdays?

Not particularly interested in gang bangs, swapping wives, PIIHB or purchasing a photography session so I can post pics on here, which rules out all of the harassment charges ... and fun.

Simply act like it's another day at work.
Do you only have women employees?

We get a birthday cake for everyone's birthday. My boss normally gives us Amazon gift cards.

Lunch is a given for us. We usually go once a week.

Average dollar amount for Amazon GC?

Get an ice cream cake and have everyone awkwardly sing happy birthday.

Lunch is nice. If it's all women, a small bouquet or cake. Just make sure you order the exact same bouquet or cake for all of them across the board.

I think birthdays are either $50 or $100.

Perfectly understood. The last thing I need is a claim that I have shown preferential treatment to one employee over another.

Incorrect. If you do cake, ask them what kind they want. You don't want to get a chocolate cake for someone who hates chocolate.

Designate a woman in your office to be in charge of birthdays. She'll know what to do.

Seriously, have you ever made a decision without consulting random people on the internet?

It's work, no one expects a gift. If you're feeling generous take everyone or cater in a lunch.

He’s right though. You’re not a very good boss if you need the OT to make every decision for you.

I give visa gift cards over cash.
Reason is you have to or should tax cash as income.
