Ole baw's just stressed because he's three months behind on his F250 and Marleigh is shacked up with Jaxxton's hitting instructor.

In 1960, roughly 74% of whites were married, and the rate dropped to 56% in 2008. That is a big drop, but not compared to the plummeting marriage rate for blacks. In 1960, 61% of blacks were married in 1960, but by 2008 it was only 32%.

And what percentage of them aren’t spending any time or money on their kid?

Dude, look into human risk tolerance.
We all heard growing up that bike helmets actually make kids do more dangerous things, because there's less fear of consequences.

quote:

The net result is no overall protection, and possibly even an overall negative effect. Because surprisingly, as helmet use goes up, so do head injuries among cyclists. In the 1990s when helmet use in the U.S. went up, head injuries among cyclists skyrocketed by a whopping 51%. (NY Times)

Lessening the fear of consequences, and dragging a sperm donor into things, just makes women more reckless. There's no other way to look at it, that is the 100% truth.

We remove debtors prisons more people getting debt.

Look at California, They decriminalize some things, crime rate goes up.

Please give us more insight into human nature. You've obviously got it all figured out.

If women can have an abortion without consulting the father a father should be able to get out of ever supporting a child by giving a woman a couple hundred dollars for an abortion.

That is his way of not consulting her.

Women out there getting abortions, but men are pieces of shite for not caring about a woman that didn't care to get in touch with him until shite got tough?

Personally I'd want to connect with the kid. That's just who I am. Can't blame someone for not wanting that connection though.

In reality, we need to stop aborting babies and stop the cycle of deadbeat/absent father's.

You can pretty much get condoms for free. Medicaid pays for birth control. If you use either a condom or the woman is on B/C, there is like 90% + odds that you will not get pregnant. In this day and age, if you knowingly avoid measures of contraception that are essentially free, and wind up pregnant, when you can’t afford to raise a child, you should be prosecuted for negligence and thrown in prison. “Accidental” pregnancies happen because of irresponsibility. And as a result, a child will either get aborted or put up for adoption and have a tough upbringing.

You sound like a deadbeat, but I see your point.

Whether you are in favor of abortion or not, it’s here and it’s not going away. I can get a girl pregnant after a one night stand and choose to fully raise and support the child and she can abort it without any of my input.

But if I knock her up and she decides to not have an abortion even if I’m pushing for it I can be held responsible for 18 years of support.

It seems a little fricked up to me.

This thread sucks.

You got a chick knocked up and regret it. Not the kid’s fault. Be a man and be a good dad to the kid. Kids are amazing and there is nothing like them. Build a relationship with the kid the best you can.

Kujo is right. Welfare policies made these issues, like single parent households, much much worse.

Estimates say one in 20 men are raising a kid that is not theirs.

Does that mean those raising the kid love the kid the same as the father who's not around?

Does the guy that never met him have a "hole in his heart"?

I'm raising my kid, but all this b******* that there's some emotional attachment to kids because they're yours biologically is complete and total horseshite. Sell crazy somewhere else, you lying bastards.

If your kid was switched at birth, and it's 10 years later, do you want your kid back in an exchange? Do you want to pay child support for that other kid to the detriment of "your" kid?

oh and you guys love your f****** kids so much that you're on your 2nd divorce, and get to see your kids once or twice a month but "I pay my bills!"?

They're just your obligation because you thought you wanted to be a father of a family and built enough of a bond with them that you'd want to kind of stay in their life, as long as it doesn't interfere with yours. Essentially guilt, the same kind of guilt you have when you answer the phone when that friend who always calls you, calls.

You love your dog but you didn't give birth to that. You miss your dog?

Ding ding ding!!!!

I love my kids and I'd do anything for them. They don't have to worry about a damn thing. Granted my child support agreement says I have to pay 2/3 of extracurriculars but I pay all of it. Why? Their mother can't say shite and I know where the money is going. I cover my kids expenses for things they want to do.

The amount of fatherless homes is staggering. Just having two working parents in the same household growing up gave us a much better life than most of the kids I grew up with.

FWIW I only know one person who is married with kids, and they were married before they had kids. Everyone else I know that has kids all had them out of wedlock and none of them are married. Trashy AF and really none of them care at all because it has been normalized to not be married to your child's other parent.

Alright, writing off Kujo as a sociopath.

That is actually the best assessment. You have a two month old child that you raise and take care of, who depends on your existence to live...and you say you would have no feeling is someone took the child away?...Either way, to say you would show no emotion is exact sociopathic behavior. Lack of empathy, zero compassion, no feelings. That’s true sociopathic thinking. Am I the only man who lost his dog and wasn’t at all embarrassed or cared if I cried my eyes out? Man’s best friend is a damn man’s best friend. I don’t have children, but I would rearrange my entire life to provide only love and compassion to a small child. Not...I wouldn’t feel shite if someone took the child from me, I’m a big hardass. You’re a deadbeat dad and not much goes lower.
