So he bought the company and sold the library to Vince? Does this include future stuff? Will they just become an offshoot or still totally their own company?

Corgan has said he wanted to change the name of the company. WWE will own everything TNA but whatever the new name is will basically be like a new company starting over. WWE mainly wants the old AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, and maybe a few other matches for future dvds.

I do like that Vince has decided to buy up libraries of old promotions and digitalise it. I kinda wish they'd put up the WCW Saturday Night shows (at 6:05), I've lobbed a few tweets at the people who run the network and folks like Regal who I'm sure would like to see it since he was on there a TON.

WWE put out a dvd called The Rise and Fall of WCW that was really good. They also have one called The Monday Night Wars that covers a lot of the same ground but is still worth watching.

I've seen both of those. I was hoping there was a non-WWE slanted book out there.

Seems like this time period is screaming for an oral history.

well, there are also a lot of shoot videos on YouTube of bitter wrestlers giving their point of views from the era.

Controversy Creates Cash is Eric Bischoff's memoirs. I remember that being a pretty quick, fun read. Definitely a slanted view but from the WCW perspective.

Why purchase the library but not the brand?

Yep

Wcw main problem was having non wrestlers running the show

When ric flair returned, the head of wcw at the time wanted him to resemble Spartacus
