Before people think I'm all for this I want to go on record. I think this is a terrible idea.

A casino in downtown Atlanta would have a 70 % African American clientele.

Casinos are something loser cities do, or tourist destinations.
ATL should not do this, IMO.

Agreed a lot of places in the SE could benefit more from a big development like this (not saying MGM would do that).

I could see something like this go up near Woodstock or Gainesville. But downtown Atlanta is not the place something like this should be going up.

Agreed, I was w/ some people who wanted to go there.

Like Jones said, NO/ATL people just mess w/ each other b/c of the football deal. I don't really know anyone who hates ATL, except for the traffic.

No I won't argue that at all but I wasn't responding to posts that were talking much about the casino either

I would argue that it's not right for Atlanta, at least downtown. But it wouldn't be because Atlanta wasn't worthy of a casino.

Those numbers show just how much bullshite was involved in the 3000000 homeless number from the 80's. That was reported as gospel over and over again.

Notice how you NEVER hear a peep about the homeless now. Think they all disappeared?
