I feel like Days of the New never got the appreciation they deserved. Their acoustic guitar playing was top-notch.

That album was actually pretty solid but Travis Meeks was a meth head and a POS and blew up the band.

Opening up the sleeve of a cassette to see the additional art work and read the lyrics. Good times

Yea I know. It's a shame too because I was a fan and bought all 3 albums.

I understand. It was just a big drop off for me compared to the 70’s and 80’s… to ME it sucked…

Just before COVID I found this video about the song, Iris. Apparently it's the most played song, ever.

Tim Pierce does pretty much every guitar part for the song and he's one of the best session / studio guitarists ever.

After watching this video, it was about 3am and places like Walmart had not stopped 24hr operations yet. I got in the car and this song was on the radio. I walked into Walmart and this song was on their PA system. In the span of about 30 minutes I heard the song three times.

In this video he talks about the song, coming up with the parts, the producer is there with him for part of it, and it opens with him playing the solo you hear in the middle of the song. He's an incredible talent.

Peej,

I have a theory that this is you. He is from Louisiana and lives in a mobile home.

I get it. It’s not the greatest stuff, but it was our stuff. My daughter (no pics) listens to 90s music

When I pick her up from work we jam out

Alanis morissette uninvited is the greatest song of all time

It’s not even close, but it is great. Best case would be in the discussion for top 10.

Absolutely! I had forgotten all about them and just saw them on this list. I had their debut CD with the dead tree and yellow background, just went back and downloaded every song. Solid Sunday treat right there
