In practice however, how many countries will willingly allow their entire electrical infrastructure be reliant on other countries’ delivery of fuel?
How is that any different than the system we have in-place today?
A quick check of some World Bank stays shows over 40 countries with >50% of their energy use coming from imports. Over 65 countries import at least 30% of their energy. There’s a ton of geopolitical risk for countries that are reliant on natural gas imports. Diversification would be a good thing for these countries.

Almost all countries generate oil, even if they import.
And even if they do, there is a very long list of countries exporting.
The topic was limit nuclear proliferation. I.e, have as few countries as possible with the infrastructure.
There are fewer than ten countries with nuclear weapons. And half of them couldn’t afford the industry sufficient for export quantity support.

I heard Bill Gates eats children though. I would not support this. We need oil and gas no nuclear

We don't have more Nuclear energy because of this attitude. Nuclear power is safe if you don't build it on the coast of an island on a fricking fault line.
Yes but what resources do we need to maintain them? To what countries and governments would we need to intermingle with if those resources ran out? And its more difficult and complex to build nuclear reactors than nuclear missiles...are you going to let Iran learn the nuclear reactor technology given they could build nuclear missiles?
The problem with energy isnt about supplying the US with enough energy, theyre thinking about the entire world if it were to develop.

If Bill Gates owns the patent for clean nuclear power technology and can sell it to every nation on earth, how much money would he stand to make? Enough to rule the whole fricking world? Three months ago, I thought Gates was a self-less billionaire philanthropist who retired early to do humanitarian work throughout the world and was unfairly in the historical shadow of his peer Steve Jobs’ and his lingering cult of personality. Then again, he may just be the antichrist.
