I've been to a Pittsburgh Penguins playoff game actually. It's just not a sport that I understand or enjoy but I can appreciate the skill. Hell I can't even ice skate

The idea that people in the north can just go out and ski on frozen pond is ridiculous. There is a thing called LIABILITY.
To be able to skate on the pond is very rare. If it is windy when the ice freezes it will be too choppy and the ice will look like little tiny waves. If it freezes and becomes smoother you have a small window before it snows again

I am no proponent of women's basketball but I couldn't name you any NCAA hockey champion.
With NCAAW, I feel the exposure is just exponentially greater.
