Just made it halfway. Started sliding on the interstate from a dead stop. Called and told them that if they have to write me up so be it. For a company that preaches safety it’s just fricking insane. I understand the need to balance the business need with the safety angle but this is an exceptional case. I never call in sick and always have the highest rating on performance reviews. If they want to start shite over this then so be it. My job is not mission critical for winter storm work.

BR only got trace amounts of snow on the 23rd, 25th of 2004. NOLA got .5" on the 25th.

1973.
Combined with 2008 that’s three snows, two winters, Baton Rouge.

2014 and 15 were both bad. Then the past two it was like 80 all winter. Now another bad one. Weather sure has been weird the past 5 years.
