They are but take them with a grain of salt right now. I'm not overly optimistic just yet despite the models trending to more snow here.

I'm home .. yeah for a flexible consulting job. Husband will be home early. One son is at class at UL and I encouraged him to come home after that one class that ends I think before noon. The older son will be the one with issues getting home if his office doesn't close early.
Thanks to you all for keep us updated.

I'm flying into MSY tonight. New Orleans supposed to get any of the ice/snow? I was planning to drive to Baton Rouge when I land but looks like I should probably wait till tomorrow.

I'd think bridges could have possible issues tomorrow from reading others posts here.

For comparison, this is the upcoming new and improved future replacement for the current v2 HRRR model.... the v3.
Shows a lot more snow.

Radarscope. Don't rely on weather apps for forecasts.

Boss made work mandatory today in NWLA. Normally I have an hour commute. I left the house at 8:00am and am only 25 miles from the house. Still 35 miles to go. Have been in park on I20 for 30 minutes now.
This is fricking stupid. May be noon before I get there. Then have to drive home and do it all over again tomorrow.

The old balls that take pride in this bother me to no end. When I was in monroe during the floods a few springs ago they made us come in while peoples houses were taking in water.
You get to the office, no one is even working and everyone is complaining.
I am going to spend most my day watching cars get in wrecks on 45
