We have only been going for a few months. Previously non practicing Catholics. My wife is all into it. Joining all of these church groups. It’s just a bit much for me. All of the music and hand waving. I’m fine with the message.

Any church that has a preacher that is a multi millionaire is a complete sham. Mega churches are all about the money and somehow there is an abundance of morons that continue to give more than they can afford to these businesses.

ETA: and yes, I'm pissed. They took what little money my idiot of a father had and now I'm left holding the bill for much of his expenses.

I knew a couple of girls that went there through cross country when I was in HS. They were normal but they were kids so its not like they chose to go there.

I’m not worried about me. I’m very skeptical. But my wife worries me. We’re already having issues and I don’t need her mind twisted.

Bruh i literally have no idea what these people are talking about. This dude talking about them taking his dad’s money has to be complete bull crap. They literally give an invitation for tithes. No one holds guns to people’s heads. I believe in tithing and so i do. No one forces me to. I have never given a cent i didn’t feel like giving. As far as the other guy calling them millionaires, Larry lived in a 40 year old house in baker and Jonathan lives in like a 2300 sq ft house that probably cost around 270k and drives a 2009 f150. All of Bethany’s expenses are made public every year. They give away like 60% of what they take in. The rest supports their 5 campuses. It’s laughable what people are saying without having a clue.

It might not be the truth for you, as you might not be as gullible or brainwashed into giving all you have as my father was. As a child I saw him give money or "tithe" to that church when he couldn't afford to feed all 3 of us on the weekend we spent with him. He lived in people's offices but still gave money to that church. He would tithe and then they would have a second "special contribution" (the guilt trip they go on is real) and he would empty his wallet into that basket.
Don't tell me it doesn't happen because I've seen it with my own eyes and like I said earlier, I'm left holding the bill for a lot of his expenses now that he is in a nursing home with Parkinson's and not one person from that business has helped or even visited him now that he is no longer a customer.
