This isn't really a great story but it felt good. I was unemployed after college for a few months and took a job stocking shelves overnight at Kroger to make a tiny bit of money while looking for other jobs. Kept days open for interviews/phone calls/whatever.

I went through "training" and shite and went in the first night and they basically said "you are cleaning the floors all night." I literally just said "no I'm not" and left. Best decision I've ever made.

My mom took a job doing telemarketing when she was in college. She went on lunch break on her first day and just didn't come back.

quote:

I was on an oil rig in arkansas drilling a horizontal well and some young guy kicked a sledge hammer on the rig floor. Oil base mud everywhere so it was slick and it went right down the well.

Kid probably was still in his first 3 months being out there and seemed like a hard worker. He did anything above and beyond for those next 3 days as a fishing team came out. When they got they hammer out the driller fired him. I watched him pick up the hammer walk over and drop it back down hole. I wanted to clap
I heard this story from my buddy before. Hmm

I guess she was ready to retire and held those feelings inside until it was time to burn those bridges. Sometime I guess it just makes you feel better just to get it out.
