Best state in the south

From an economic, societal, political, and geographical standpoint, what is the best state in the south?

My vote goes to North Carolina. Best all around eastern state IMO

Tennessee and Georgia are both doing very well. I prefer Tennessee.

Never considered TX “southern”

Texas economically. Easily.

Maybe the worst geographically though.

Honestly, I think it’s Florida. Insane beaches, good economy, melting pot socially in big cities. Etc.

I consider SE Texas to be but not the northern and western parts of it. State is just huge.
