I cannot fall asleep without noise, I usually listen to a book on tape or have the TV on, if I don't my mind doesn't shut off and one though leads to another and 3 hours later I am still awake.

If I don't have the noise machine in my bedroom, I like the White Noise app set to either 'Fan' or 'Airplane'- it's good and it's free
