Nike Free RN Flyknit runners

They look good. They feel good. They’re trendy af so you won’t look like a square, or someone’s out of touch dad. Relatively inexpensive. About $120

These are the shoes that are popular with my son and his friends. They’re complete dogshit. They’re some of the most flimsy, cheap made tennis shoes I’ve ever seen. They look like Nike spent about .04 cents (counting child labor) to make them.

I’m not suprised my son and his teen age friends are too dumb to realize these are garbage shoes and a complete rip-off. They're at the age where the “in” brand is all that matters.

But you are a grown man who should know better. Especially since you’ve got a thread on page one trying to look smarter than everyone.

That's kind of the point. They're light weight and malleable. Not every one perfers leather boots.

Yeah it’s rare. Mostly just the gym. And then the rare instances when I’m wearing gym shorts. I live across the street from Whole Foods so if I run over there to grab something I sometimes just throw those on.

Hottest athletic shoe brand on the market, also won best trail runner for several years.

Fine. Then charge a flimsy price. They’re literally $10 shoes. The fact people pay more than that for them only shows they have more money than they have sense.

Yeah, they’re supposed to be flimsy and thin. They’re actually really durable, surprisingly so. I wouldn’t give a shite if they weren’t because I’m not using them for the decathlon, or to do coal mining.

I know it sounds crazy...but sometimes people buy stuff because they like the look.

They’re not close to durable. They’re pure dogshit. Worthless. I know of three teen boys (one being my son) that didn’t even get two months wear out of them and they were falling apart. And no, none of them have ever even seen a coal mine.

So you mean to tell me teenage boys who typically don't take care of their shite and run around outside in dirt and mud and gravel tear up shoes at a way faster rate than an adult that wear tennis shoes to run to the grocery store? Unbelievable I tell you! I've had a similar pair to those Nikes for well over a year and they still look like new.

Yeah I have no idea why your kids shoes are falling apart. I’ve had quite a few Nike’s and these are thin but they aren’t poorly made. My last Nike’s were shite. Did you buy a bootleg version?

Any shoes other than Nikes are shite. Under Amour are Auburn level trashy. I laugh at people that wear them.

It’s not just his. Two of his friends that I know of have the same shoes and they’ve had the same thing happen. They just fall apart. My son actually had a hole wear in the top of his. My wife and the moms in her social circle were talking about how their sons just had to have that shoe so they bought them and quickly discovered they’re a piece of shite.

And no, unless Hibetts Sporting Goods is selling bootlegs, these are all genuine Nike products.

Please don't wear those hiking boots/shoes things unless you are at least 50 and have 2 daughters that play soccer.

It’s just an idea but there’s a chance that teenage boys are hard on shoes, and generally don’t take care of things they wear. With that in mind, running shoes that are designed and manufacturer to be thin and light, may not be the best option for said teenage boys.
