Birkenstock and Footprints make cork footbed shoes that offer great support.

Those negative heel Kalso Earth Shoes if you can find them. That's not easy these days, but from my experience you won't have lower back pain typical of being on hard floors all day.

Rockport makes some incredibly comfortable wing tips. They use athletic shoe technology in the soles , so they are very comfortable.
I used to wear them on the days I spent on our warehouse floor and they are great.
Really comfy shoes

Alegria shoes (look them up)

Only nursing shoes I will wear now. I've worn running shoes at the hospital and my feet were always hurting after 12 hours.

Alegria....my feet NEVER hurt at work now. They are pricey but worth every penny.

Nurse - my husband is on the site and wants some now too. This may get expensive. (But so worth it) thanks for the info!

I'm not a nurse, but I am a teacher with a bad case of plantar fasciitis (due to unusually high arches), and I have found the following shoes to be quite comfortable:

Asics Gel-Nimbus 16
Alegria

It is critical to have good arch support.

Insoles are key.

Look around for shoes that cater to chefs and kitchen staff as well as nurses and medical personnel.

Otherwise I'd suggest running shoes.
