None of those are tuition based. So the kids are transsexual freaks who hate sports . I read it here in this fact- based thread .
According to you these kids are ""shithole of festering social pathologies"

I never said the kids were, I said specifically that the city was . I admire the kids who claw their way out . Is there a social pathology that is not thriving in our two rapidly declining cities? Go ahead anything ...I'll wait .

It isn't a funding problem, it starts at home in urban environments. You can't throw money at the problem.
It most certainly is. The cost of an education is outgrowing the middle and working class. Sure great lives at home help personal growth in school but doesnt help with little opportunity. Education has been repeatedly underfunded and cut, just having a good home life isnt the only issue.

No, not in the context of this discussion and when I told you my child was at a New Orleans School not a Baton Rouge Episcopal school. You dumped BR Episcopal when I told you we were in New Orleans. You then said what you said, and it was directed at the New Orleans institution.

You are confused. But you'd have to read the whole thread to understand . And it is not my job to disabuse you of your ignorance , regardless.

Sound very well versed, would imagine you always give 10/10 insights what else is suffering from these pathologies? Hmm I do wish you'd post.... a lot less.

I only am responding to your response so however this thread has morphed does not matter, You, are not very smart but you think you are. To be honest, based on what I have seen your are incredible hypocrite.

I am relentlessly honest . That's probably what is confusing you - it may seem strange and foreign to you. I honestly acknowledge the complexity of what we are discussing . I am pro public school and also very honest about why they are failing . It's the opposite of your cognitive dissonance- it's grappling with competing ideas. It's what honest people do.
You take every criticism or point of contention personally. You also refuse to answer simple questions. You intentionally mischaracterize my argument and now you are angry . Are you sure you wouldn't rather find an amen corner somewhere?

I'm sorry, what's the question? I think you would be surprised with the response. I don't think dumping on New Orleans is an answer.

I am pro public schools myself and have been giving why they are not meeting expectations from my pov and what I think can be done to help. You on the other hand are willingly trying to start up some shite.

I'm not dumping on New Orleans. I'm being honest . It's a crime- ridden , impoverished failing city . Certainly facts don't anger you ? Why be angry at a fact ?

Jesus . If facts and truth agitate you, you might need to reflect on why. And why take it personally? New Orleans is by every reasonable societal measure, a failing city . It is what it is. No need to shoot the messenger.

I think everyone knows its shortfalls but there is zero people propose to do to solve it. Its like having a flat tire but no one wants to replace it, just bitch about how fricked it is and do zero about it while simultaneously bitching about how no one is doing anything.

You are saying New Orleans is a failing city now? And , LOL, why do you continue to think I am angry.
I am headed to bed in a sec, but the troll level has been great tonight, I appreciate it.

that means St. Charles is in play. St. Bernard. St. Tammany, Ascension, or Livingston

Mayfair Laboratory School is an excellent school. All the teachers have Masters (and their assistants are fully qualified Bachelor's teacher degrees).
All were trained at LSU U High for two years when Mayfair was started. Of course all of the EBR teachers hated it, as it would get a fresh start as a new school with a new number (thus ranking). Fought for two years or more and finally had their number assigned.
It's an experiment that EBR Schools tried and learned: If you have qualified teachers and capable students (and parents), you will excel.
The problem with EBR (and every other "Magnet" mindset) is that Magnet schools shouldn't exist. All children deserve an equal education. The "test" to get my children shouldn't exist in a public school. My oldest was lucky enough to have been entering K when Mayfair Lab opened. We're very fortunate that she passed the test. Now, it's testing then lottery.
Magnets are the sign of a great public school system gone awry. This is not what great thinkers imagined.
ETA: They have only two classes per grade. It's very hard to get in as the class count is ~20 and they have 2 teachers.

Niche.com gives all that info
Lol. Niche.com gives info based on user responses. Parents, alumni, and students self-report ACT scores and the website averages them. The scores there are inflated because of selection bias.

Has to be the new Southside High School in Youngsville. It even has it's own coffee shop!
