$6k? Oh you sweet summer child. That’s where the poors send their kids to keep them away from the public school riff raft. Double that for the nicer private schools. Triple it for the top tier.

Any of the Catholic Schools are basically interchangeable. We lived at the nexus of Sacred Heart, St Aloysius, and Mercy parishes. Visited all three and chose Mercy because we liked the vibe. Go visit and see which one “feels” right.

Send my grand daughter to Trinity Episcopal. Cannot say enough nice things. She loves it there.

Trinity, St Lukes, Episcopal

in no order

The Episcopal schools are the best by far.

Where do you live? Is it better?

They don't have a Pre-K, but we will apply next year for Kindergarten admission.

Your kid will be in kindergarten next year? When does the process begin? The kid has to go through a process an all right?

Or you could just move to the burbs like people do everywhere else. I'm sure all of the posters with kids in Texas live in inner city Houston or Dallas

If you are vietnamese you will feel right at home at STM. And next year you won't have to deal with that asshat Moscona cause he's leaving yet another school after changing everything

He's an exception because most of Houston schools are trash. The great schools are 30 miles from the city.

I live 20 miles north of the 610 loop, and I understand that the schools are pretty damn good

Is that hottie in the high heels still running St James? She made the car pool line worthwhile.

St. Aloysius is the best. The rest are very good.

If St. Luke’s still has the tooth-pulling music teacher, then St. Luke’s.

That's fine but it's a little unfair to compare inner city schools to suburban. There are plenty of fine public schools in the BR burbs. I know I'd never send my daughter to a HISD public school that wasn't some kind of gifted and talented type of place.

Our oldest will be starting Pre-K next year so we're looking at all the usual suspects for BR private schools. Any of y'all with experience have any recommendations or any schools to stay away from?

Any private school without a bad rep will do. It’s pre-K. Hard even for a public school to screw that up.
