Best Paint & Body Shop in BR

Daughter (17) got in pretty bad car wreck this week and I am afraid insurance is going to total it out. I would like for them to repair it because she loves the car and for being a 2008 it looked and ran like brand new. It's a Volkswagen Touareg.
Any suggestions on how to handle it? I would even consider paying the difference . Or who is the most reasonable paint & body shop in BR area.

If they can total it let them. Go buy the exact car that hasn't been wrecked if she likes it so much.

Let them total it out, then buy it back from the insurance Company. Use what's left over from the money they give you to fix it. If you're mechanically inclined you can do the repairs yourself, then bring it to a body shop for paint.

Take the money from the totaled car and move out of BR

If the total loss was due to a hydrolocked engine due to a flood, sure buy it back and replace the engine. However, total loss due to collision, I don't know. How will the car hold up if there's another wreck? No amount of money is worth risking harm to your family.

Glad your daughter is OK, the most a ‘08 Touareg can be worth is $12k.
Don’t let her emotion get in the way of your business, you wouldn’t have originally bought a vehicle for her if you’d have known it went through a “pretty bad” car wreck and was repaired.
Wreck repaired or not, an ‘08 Touareg is not a car I’d want to have. Too old and too VW-y. Repair history on them is not good and after a pretty bad car wreck it could be worse for the wear.
Hopefully your carrier totals it, for your sake.
Get your 17 year-old an Accord or a Camry.

I've seen and had cars totaled for minor accidents.

Cavin's is the best, but they aren't cheap

Fwiw, Kelley isn’t the best to judge a vehicle’s value. Insurance companies nor banks use it.
To answer the OP’s question, cavins, hampton, and medines are all good.

Take the cash and get her a 2015 Honda CRV or similar.

Southern Collision on Siegen did a good job on the wife's car last time

I've read where if you have anything to add value to the car it can help in receiving more money for the total, like new tires, etc. I just replaced the computer module and high pressure fuel pump and have receipts, over $2500. Will that help any?

Ouch. I'm not sure about that. I put a new CVT transmission in a '07 Altima at the tune of like 4k and my wife totalled the damn thing 5 months later. I don't remember getting 4k more than Bluebook
