Looking to take the kids around to look at lights.
Anyone have any suggestions on some good spots to go to?

Kenilworth is a shell of what it used to be. Still a nice neighborhood, but no one (but the older residents) still put lights out.
I would ride through the neighborhoods off Highland rd

HUGE Disappointment this year. Except for the cul-de-sac off Stoneleigh that always shows up.

Man, Monticello used to kick arse in the 80s and 90s.

North Foster Drive or Gus Young Ave. Heard there are nightly fireworks too

Not in BR but worth the short trip for the kiddos.
Oak Alley Estates in Geismar.
Lots of houses in there on par with Clark Griswold.

Christmas decorating is a thing of yesteryear for some reason. I read an article that said it isn’t a religious or political reasoning behind it. Just fewer and fewer people nowadays put up with the hassle of decorating with lights than in years past.

There's a house on Elliot road off of hoo shoo too that did the lights to the music thing. Went by there right after Thanksgiving and they weren't up yet, but might now if they guy did them this year. If not, it'd be unusual because they've been doing it for years.

I had a good friend that lived on Catalina. That was an awesome neighborhood in its heyday.

We usually have some decent ones in our neighborhood but I don't know of anywhere in BR that's even close to what Monticello used to be.

Thanks. We'll check that one out.
And i'm on Clark Griswold's level already. I'll have enough next year to cover the entire roof in lights like he did.
I only buy my lights after christmas, and i'd bet i've spent well over a grand on decorations over the years, and that's buying just about everything at 50-75% off.
