Westminster/Pine Park has been great. Lots of families and kids out riding bikes and walking. The neighborhood pool, while not fancy, seems to be a popular activity for families and there is a pickleball court. Easy access to I-10 & I-12. In St. George and my councilperson lives in the neighborhood.

The oldest filings have the smallest houses, but most are on .25 acre lots at least with some in Flood Zone X. Those houses may be a better bargain when they go up for sale.

Buy what you can afford and check out any neighborhood yourself. Speak to the residents.

I live in White Oak, the common denominator of safe areas is that no bus line comes close. Bus lines are arteries of crime.

Anywhere outside of Baton Rouge is good. Outside of Louisiana is better.
