I've got a Husqvarna push with a Kohler motor. Mine starts first time as well except for the first time in the spring and I ether it and off we go. I'm sure the Honda motors are great too. I'm done with Briggs. I add MMO to my gas each time I go get some. Got to do something if you can't get straight gas. I also run it dry before storing in winter. Mine's 4 yrs old I got it off Amazon for $215ish.

I have a very small yard. I look silly as hell mowing with my electric corded mower, but it gets the job done. And I never have to do a damn thing to it. It's made by Earthwise. It bags and mulches. I think it was around $200 on Amazon. I would have gone with a reel mower, because I really like the way grass looks when cut with one, but they won't cut the super thick grass I have in the front.

I was paying someone to do it, but I prefer cutting it myself because I my back yard twice a week during the summer. And by doing it myself I can be sure to only cut it when it's dry. And I do a better job.

I looked at cordless but they're expensive and the reviews were spotty.

I've got a small Toro personal pace mower that I've been using for several years to do the areas that I can't get my rider in. It has always been in mulch mode, cuts great and is an awesome mower. It'd be terrific for a small yard.

I have a neuton electric mower. Time to replace batteries after 3 years. $40 to replace.

For a small yard, you can't beat it. Requires no maintenance, light as hell, doesn't make any noise. I wouldn't want one for a large yard, but for something small electric > gas

Husqvarna awd push/walk behind with Honda motor, I've had it for three years. it's great, starts on first pull, has mulch, side discharge and bagging options.

This is what I use. I absolutely love it. My old troybilt would take 5 pulls to start. This one starts in the first one, even if it's half assed. It's been working great even the past few weeks when the grass has been soaked everyday all day.

Boo, I would strongly recommend staying away from the cheap, bottom of the line mowers, even with just having a small yard. Spend a little more, and get something decent that is dependable. Maybe even self propelled.

I looked hard at those. I wish I'd gone with one now.

It's legit. I have the smaller one, wish I had the bigger one.

If you buy a repacement 24v battery from neuton, they are $100/ea. But you can take apart the neuton battery case and just replace the 2 12v batteries in there for $20/ea. This thing is probably 6-8 years old and has never had a lick of maintenance done. I've sharpened the blades a couple times, but that's it.

If you don't want to perform maintenance all the time, I suggest you go with a Honda engine.
