I have had some really great shoes for about five years now and they are just now starting to look of some age. I have used a traditional shoe shine kit for a couple years, but now they have a little rough, dusty appearance in the crease area. Time for a good conditioner for this pair. Anything the OT recommends?

I use a good saddle conditioner on mine. A VERY light coat of passier lederbalsam will soak in well and restore. In a pinch I've used lexol which you can now get at walmart in the auto section. That's what I usually use on my bridles because it soaks in fast and doesn't leave a film.

I've got a pair of Tanker boots I've owned since 1988. They're still in great shape thanks to this wonder product....

You can buy other, more expensive or more hip products. But from my exprence with my Tanker boots, there's nothing that can protect leather boots better.

The stuff at Red Wing Shoe Stores is good - less abrasive than Kiwi products.

This stuff is great.

I have an authentic custom Indy jacket from Wested Leather and Pecards is what they recommend to keep it conditioned.

I've though about trying that on my saddle next time I need to buy something.

Works great, and smells great. Like all conditioners, will darken the color some.

It's 10 years old so it's darkened about as much as it will and is a nice array of colors by now

Does it soak in well? I've found I need to use a different conditioner on bridles because of that. Sometimes the reins get slick when they get sweaty.

Soaks in really well, not oily like other conditioners. If you don't like it, you can send it back for the full refund.

No, I try to limit the exposure of my inner nerd to the public. My wife often wonders how she never saw it in me. Usually it's after I come back from a long night of drinking and playing D&D
