Friend of mine struggled with addiction all his life, he died of heart issues a few years back.

He did treatment at 5-6 places and swore Teen Challenge was the best of them, you don't have to be a Teen.

I think their programs are free or you work while in it

One of their intermediate facilities is right down the road from me, where people go after they get out of the inpatient phase. Don't have any firsthand knowledge of their success rate, but they've been there quite a few years.

My buddy did a year in house with them and it stuck for 4-5 years, he sold snowballs and washed cars to pay for it.

He could never keep his shite together for long from anything but this place kept him straight more than the other 4 or 5 he went to.

I also have a friend here picture #1 the dude in the back with black cap, he's been there for years. Started as a patient (or whatever) and now works there.

Serenity Star has a very unique set up. It's basically a hippy commune that teaches sobriety. I've been to a few meetings there and hung around in their self sustained coffee shop. They also have people with babies and young children living in their housing area. It's not my kind of thing

I used to work with the guy I mentioned who went there, he was a good sales guy and made a decent living but loved to drink and snort whatever he could get his hands on.

He went in about 7-8 years ago and still lives there, I guess he became one of them. He may have married a girl and had a baby and they all live in the commune, I see pictures from time to time on twitter/facebook.
