Ideally, we would like to find a facility in Texas. But if others have experiences that were truly life changing, e.g. Betty Ford clinic, please let me know what you think.

Whilst we are domiciled in Shreveport, Palmetto is decidedly off the table as an option. TIA

Not in the area so I can’t give you a recommendation, but I have experience with this so I though I would give some input.

Substance abuse and depression are usually two separate programs. I know someone who had both and wanted to be part of the professionals mental health program but because there were substance abuse issues, his insurance forced him into that one for most of the time and he got nothing out of it while he got a lot out of the brief time he had in the depression program. So if depression is the bigger issue, focus on that first. Just my two cents.

Call the Helen Farabee Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. They have a good sense of these two disorders and corresponding treatment and ought to be at least a resource

What’s the “level of society” that the attendee is most familiar with?

Are we talking about a professional person with a depression and alcohol problem, or a meth head / crack whore?

You gotta tackle both otherwise one will lead you right back to the other.

Stay at home mom, but comes from wealthy family. I’m of the opinion her addictions are
secondary to psychiatric issues. But hell, that’s what I’m paying then for to figure out

The reprieve for men is a great place. I can tell you from experience, it has changed my life. It is located in opelika, alabama. (About ten minutes from auburn). I promise you will get the best treatment you can get there. It is primarily substance abuse, however they will treat depression aswell

There are A LOT more people who suffer from mental health issues than addiction problems. Addiction is a smaller subset. One in six Americans take some kind of psychiatric drugs — mostly antidepressants, researchers reported Monday.
